Using Furlough To Practice Being FIRE’d

One in 4 of us are currently on the furlough scheme, a scheme designed by the government to help keep the masses in employment and keep the economy going. Under the scheme, employees are paid 80% of their wage up to £2,500 a month to simply stay home and not work. Yes that’s right, £2,500 a month for not going to work. Free money – a socialists dream. When the scheme was first announced, there was genuine panic. People were too scared to enjoy this once in a lifetime opportunity. They were too scared to leave their house. Articles On Time, Money, Happiness and Freedom!

Investors who read this site know that I am obsessed with Time, Freedom and Happiness. I believe that in order for one to be happy, one needs to be autonomous and in control of their time. What is particularly great about this post is that the author only started investing in dividend paying stocks later in life. In fact, he made a lot of financial mistakes […]

To see what I mean, just go and have a look at the comments section of the Guardian article I mentioned earlier. It looks like the majority of readers simply can’t comprehend the idea of financial freedom. Most of the comments are negative. People want an easy fix to their problems and attaining financial freedom is hard work as you need to save […]
