Fundsmith Equity Income Fund Full Portfolio Breakdown

The Fundsmith Equity Income Fund has had a remarkable run since its inception in 2010. Over this time, it has produced gains of just over 188% or 19% per annum. This is simply phenomenal. It is no wonder they call the funds manager, Terry Smith,  the UK Warren Buffet. Terry Smith has done an amazing job and it is no wonder that it is only one of three mutual funds I am invested in.

The performance of fundsmith and its exceptional returns haven’t gone unnoticed and I have had a few readers contact me asking what individual stocks the fund holds. As such, I have done some research and found the majority of the portfolio which is below.

What Individual Stocks are held in the Fundsmith Portfolio?

Fundsmith, like most other funds, only gives its top 10 holdings at any one time. Thus, to find out the full portfolio of approx 30 is a tricky job as you need to delve into previous annual reports to see the buys, sells, major contributors and major contractors. Having done this, I believe these are the stocks that currently make up the Fundsmith Equity Income Fund at March 2017:

  • Imperial Tobacco
  • Phillip Morris
  • Unilever
  • Reckitt Benckiser
  • Nestle
  • Johnson & Johnson
  • Dr Pepper Snapple
  • Pepsico
  • Diageo
  • JM Smucker
  • L’Oreal
  • Estee Lauder
  • Colgate Palmolive
  • Intercontinental Hotels

Whilst the above are stocks that are currently in the Fundsmith Equity Fund, the manager has also sold shares in a few companies over the years.

Some stocks that used to be in Fundsmith are (Fundsmith Share Sells):

  • Procter & Gamble
